Young Carer Bursary at University of Portsmouth 2025

The Young Carer Bursary is designed to support full-time undergraduate students at the University of Portsmouth who are under the age of 25 and have caring responsibilities for a family member. This bursary provides financial assistance to help cover educational expenses.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a UK national.
• Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student aged under 25.
• Must have caring responsibilities for a parent or family member (excluding dependent children).
• Family income must be less than £25,000 per year.

Scholarship Benefits

The bursary offers partial funding of GBP 500 per year to help alleviate the financial burdens associated with higher education.

To apply for the Young Carer Bursary, eligible students should contact independent@port.ac.uk. It is important to note that this bursary cannot be received in conjunction with the Care Leaver Bursary or the Stand Alone Bursary.
