The Edinburgh Legal Education Trust LLM by Research (LLMR) Scholarships are designed for students pursuing a Masters degree in Scots Private Law at the University of Edinburgh. This prestigious scholarship is open to students of all nationalities and offers comprehensive financial support.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the LLMR Scholarships, applicants must:

• Hold an honours degree in law, or an ordinary law degree plus an honours degree in another discipline.
• Be accepted by the University of Edinburgh for the LLM by Research in Scots Private Law.
• Be starting their program in September 2026.
• Preference may be given to candidates intending to progress to a PhD.
• Focus their proposed research on Scots private law.

Scholarship Benefits
