UCL Care Leaver Bursary 2026 Overview

The UCL Care Leaver Bursary 2026 is a significant financial aid initiative provided by University College London (UCL) to support undergraduate students who have experienced care. This bursary is aimed at helping UK students manage their educational expenses with a partial funding of GBP 1,000 annually.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the UCL Care Leaver Bursary, applicants must meet the following conditions:

• Must be domiciled in the UK with Home fee status.
• Must be under 25 years old at the start of the course.
• Must have been in care or accommodated by the local authority for at least 13 weeks.
• Must not have reconciled with parents after leaving care and before the course start.
• Must hold an offer for a full-time undergraduate degree at UCL or be a current student.

Scholarship Benefits

The bursary provides:

• GBP 1,000 per annum to support maintenance costs.
• An option for new students to request an advance payment of GBP 200 at the start of their course.
