The St Andrews Sanctuary Scholarship 2026 is designed for students pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degrees at the University of St Andrews. This scholarship aims to support UK residents who are asylum seekers, refugees, or have similar statuses, by offering full funding which includes tuition fees, accommodation, and maintenance.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a UK resident with one of the following statuses: Asylum Seeker, Refugee, Humanitarian Protection, Limited Leave to Remain, or Discretionary Leave to Remain (all with forced migration background).
• Should have Scotland Home or Rest of UK fee status.
• Applicants must be applying to or currently enrolled at the University of St Andrews.
• Must be studying in an undergraduate or postgraduate program, either full-time or part-time (daytime).
• Demonstrate financial need.

Scholarship Benefits

• Full coverage of tuition fees (after any eligible public funding).
• Accommodation support valued at £9,119 per year for undergraduates and £10,762 per year for postgraduates.
• Maintenance allowance of £110 per week, paid for 39 weeks for undergraduates and 52 weeks for postgraduates.
• The award is paid annually for the full duration of the program.
