DAAD, ALECOSTA Alemania-Costa Rica 2025 Scholarship Overview

The DAAD, ALECOSTA Alemania-Costa Rica 2025 scholarship is designed for university lecturers from Costa Rican universities to pursue Masters and PhD degrees in Germany. This program is a collaboration between the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Costa Rican National Council of Rectors (CONARE).

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for the ALECOSTA Scholarship:

• Applicants must be university lecturers at one of the following Costa Rican universities: Universidad de Costa Rica, Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, Universidad Nacional, Universidad Estatal a Distancia, and Universidad Técnica Nacional.
• The scholarship is open for Masters and PhD programs.

Scholarship Benefits

Benefits provided by the DAAD, ALECOSTA scholarship include:

• Travel allowances, unless provided by the home university.
• Initial language course in Germany, including accommodation and pocket money for up to six months.
• Comprehensive insurance coverage including health, nursing care, accident, and liability.
• One-year research and study grants.
• Subsidy for printing costs for doctoral students.
• Language course costs for accompanying spouses, if applicable.

Application Process
