The DAAD, ALECOSTA Alemania-Costa Rica 2025 scholarship is designed for university lecturers from Costa Rican universities to pursue Masters and PhD degrees in Germany. This program is a collaboration between the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Costa Rican National Council of Rectors (CONARE).
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for the ALECOSTA Scholarship:
- Applicants must be university lecturers at one of the following Costa Rican universities: Universidad de Costa Rica, Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, Universidad Nacional, Universidad Estatal a Distancia, and Universidad Técnica Nacional.
- The scholarship is open for Masters and PhD programs.
Scholarship Benefits
Benefits provided by the DAAD, ALECOSTA scholarship include:
- Travel allowances, unless provided by the home university.
- Initial language course in Germany, including accommodation and pocket money for up to six months.
- Comprehensive insurance coverage including health, nursing care, accident, and liability.
- One-year research and study grants.
- Subsidy for printing costs for doctoral students.
- Language course costs for accompanying spouses, if applicable.
