CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars Program 2026-28

The CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars Program supports outstanding postdoctoral researchers by providing them with funding to further their research in selected programs. This scholarship is designed to help scholars at the start of their careers, offering a unique opportunity for professional development in a global setting.

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to applicants of any nationality.
• Must hold a PhD degree and be within the first five years of a full-time research or academic position.
• Applicants must be conducting an independent research program and overseeing trainees.
• Postdoctoral students are ineligible, but pending full-time positions starting by December 31, 2025, are considered.

Scholarship Benefits

Selected scholars will receive:

• A two-year term of collaboration and mentorship in an interdisciplinary CIFAR research program.
• CAD 100,000 in unrestricted research support.
• Membership in a community of outstanding peers from diverse disciplines.
• Training in leadership and communication skills, and support to build influence and make an impact.

This scholarship is generously funded by the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR), aiming to foster scientific and academic growth across the globe. The deadline for applications is November 5, 2025.
